Highland Park Remodel
A luminous, high-vaulted space filled with blond oak, this client’s house was built as an antidote to Minnesota’s winter gloom…in the 70s. The kitchen layout matched the clients’ habits but they sought an upgrade with Scandanavian elements. Working with SALA’s Mark Sloot, we replaced dated cabinetry with rift-sawn white oak and flush inset doors. We sanded and re-finished the floors a shade lighter. We installed sparkling snow white Elements surface countertops and gradient blue/green glass tile to capture the moods of ice. These elements combine to finish the builder’s intent, timelessly.
